Q. Where did the idea/story for the film come from?
A. This story was written by Ryan Plato. I have no idea how he comes up with his stories.
Q. How much time does it take to put the entire package together for a 10 minute long film? What are the steps in the process?
A. To put this project together took about 4 months of pre-production and will take about another 2 months to finish. The process to put this together is long and tedious. First we (my cousin Vinnie Besasie and I) had to gather a pre-production team. We asked people who we thought would enjoy and be excited to help produce a small short movie. Everybody we approached was enthusiastic and ready for the challenge. Once this team was assembled we put together a production crew including DP (Director of Photography), AD (Assistant Director), AC (Assistant Cameraman), grips…etc. At the same time we had to secure locations, equipment and actors and all for gratis. Once this was all done, shooting schedules were made to accommodate everyone’s schedule, equipment and location availability. Many problems arose along the way, but we managed to overcome them. The next steps are to edit the film and submit it to Film Festivals such as Sundance, Cannes or Telluride…etc.
